I bought 3 books in Singapore. It’s really hard to find English computer/programing-related books in Shanghai, so I had to go all the way to Singapore to get them. I have other great books but they’re e-books and with my persistent sensitivity-to-light eye problems, I can’t stand reading e-books. So they’ll have to wait a bit, maybe I’ll print them instead. O’Reilly’s got a great selection but they’re pretty costly, all his books costs like over SG$60 (about US40) – well beyond my budget, at least for now. Anyway, here are the books I bought:
Creating Web Pages For Dummies:

Flash Programming For Dummies:

PHP 5 / MySQL Programming For Absolute Beginners:
I wanted to buy a 4th book, but I couldn’t decide. I saw all sorts of books about Maya, but what I know about scripting is still very limited so why move on to something too advanced too soon? Besides, it saved me some cash not buying a 4th book. It’ll be cheaper for me to print some of the e-books I have.
