After a few months of serious consideration, I decided to resign from my day job. This was not an easy decision, mainly because I enjoyed the work. But this decision was imminent, as I have been relatively unmotivated for quite a while now. My official exit will be on the 1st of July, and I will be “free-falling”. What I actually mean by that is, I’ve decided to take a bit of a break from a day job and will be unemployed. I have not applied to any other company thus far, and I don’t know what my next step will be.
My short-term plan is to spend the whole of July taking it easy. I want to go over PHP, on a serious level. I will also take driving lessons (might begin this month), and will try to cram in as many lessons possible for that month. I also want to blog a lot more, as this blog lacks content. My aim is at least a hundred journals by the end of the year.
Back in the days when I had fine art lessons, the teacher advised us to take a step back once in a while to get a better view of the entire picture and it will help us find the problems. This is pretty much what I will be doing; it’s not a step back but a standstill that will help me progress; not necessarily in an entirely different direction but with hopefully more vision and closer to a happier me.
