Gillette Venus Razor for Women

  • Sharebar

Gillette Venus RazorI finally bought myself another Gillette Venus razor (pink).  The first time I had one was over a decade ago when the first type (aqua blue) came out.  It’s a great invention, and really works for the female shape.  The head sort of swivels up and down so that really goes where it needs to. ;)

I used it for several years, until I accidentally left it here in Seychelles and returned to China.  I suppose somebody threw it out and I was really bummed out about it because it had sentimental value.  So I’ve been on disposable razors since then.

I decided to buy a new Venus razor plus a few cartridges.  One cartridge lasts longer than a single disposable razor.  So this should save me money in the long run.  I’ve tried Schick, the one with four blades (can’t remember what it’s called) and it didn’t cut half as good and the Venus even if it’s got just 3 blades.  The worst part of that was searching for cartridges for it, and it wasn’t available in China! So I just threw away the darn thing.  You have to find cartridges available globally or you won’t be able to shave whenever you like~!

The most interesting thing about my purchase is the price.  It costs about S$13.xx and this has remained constant for over a decade!
