I went to some places in Singapore to check out the prices of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Sim Lim Square was one of the last places I checked… *off-topic alert* but I went there to buy my younger brother a 1.5 TB SeaGate external hard drive for S$205. I didn’t bother bargaining with the lady because we were running out of time. She told me that a Samsung 1TB external hard drive was about $139 (first price) so I was a little bummed out about that because the last time I was in Singapore was just a few months ago on March when I bought that same 1TB external hard drive for $179. I could have saved a few dollars.*off-topic alert*
Anyway, going back to the Samsung Galaxy Tab…I only saw the the 8.9 version. That was already being sold for about S$789 or S$798! So I can already imagine the cost of the 10.1 version. Singapore’s such an expensive place.
I also saw a few of the HTC phones I wanted to get a few months ago except I forgot the name of the one I wanted. I couldn’t remember if I was going to go for the HTC Wildfire, Wildfire S or if it was something else.
When I first saw the Samsung Galaxy Tab a few months ago, it took my attention and I forgot all about wanting a new phone.
The problem with choosing an HTC mobile phone is that they’re all very similar to each other in both design and features.
Something that has also caught my eye is the Nintendo 3DS. This was being sold for SGD300-400. A few years ago I bought the Nintendo DS Lite or “NDSL” for about RMB1500 but that was the Chinese iQue version. I only sold it because someone here in Seychelles agreed to buy it from me for USD350. Anyway, I’m okay with the N3DS price tag, but I’m still trying to get over their price per game, which is approximately USD25 if I’m not mistaken. I’ll give that a “WT-eff?!”
I see a pattern of gadget-craving…I feel like I just want something new to play with because I haven’t made a gadget purchase for quite a while. I’ll give it some thought and some more time, and hopefully I’ll get something that can provide all the above features.
