Today was bittersweet, as I shook hands with most of my colleagues and both bosses. I only have one regret: I should have attended the end of year picnic! That said, this is Seychelles – we’ll definitely be seeing each other around and no, I have no plans to leave the country. I have spent far too many years abroad so I have to figure out how I want my life to be here…because this is where I want to settle down. My elder sister thinks I’m crazy…but I do love it here.I had to break the news to 2 clients earlier today. They seemed a little bummed out that I will be transferring their project to someone else. But I have reassured them that my replacement has more experience than me in the field so they should be in good hands. To my replacement – thank you for assuming that I was working for the company for 3-4 years when I had only been working for 10 months. To my bosses…I’ll say it again but this time on my blog: thank you for the opportunity that I was given.
I am officially unemployed.
The clients I dealt with are no longer my clients. I’m at this point in my life where I’m asking myself this question: if I had to push web design and development aside, what would I take up? I don’t see myself letting it go completely, not any time soon…but I would like to explore my other potentials or abilities.
