Finally Breaking Into The Top 1 Million Websites On Alexa Ranking

  • Sharebar

It’s really easy to break into the top 1 million websites on the Alexa rankings but not quite with minimal search engine optimizations and a simple blog.  So I’ve been trying to add content that is related to my personal life, but I’ve balanced it with content that might be useful to others.
Today is the first day I’ve recorded an Alexa ranking below 1 million (currently #946,121), which means my blog is finally in ‘the list’.  This is pretty cool for only about 1 month of serious blogging.  This will continue.  I’ve sort of made a vow to myself that I will not perform serious SEO until I’ve got about 1000 posts which would be an impressive amount of content.

Yesterday (July 8) has recorded the highest number of visits to day since I installed Google Analytics last month with about 131 visits.  The current average is about 30 visits per day.

I’m uncertain which post it was that has brought in that many visitors but I did submit a whopping 7 entries yesterday so the accumulation of visitors could have been due to the 7 posts collectively.  I’ll be working on some graphics work today so I might not be able to blog that much.  But I am off to take a nap for now because I might be up all night working.
