WordPress is a blog tool that allows you to write blog entries and then publish it to either your personal domain or one hosted by themselves. Not only are they free, most are constantly updated or fixed and made compatible with every WordPress update!
- Askimet: If there’s one thing a good blog always seem to get, it’s SPAM. How? Why, Via your comments box! I have found that Askimet does a fantastic job of limiting this. You will need to get yourself an API key- all the instructions are there when you install the plug-in.
- Editor Extender: If you like more options for your entries the way I do, this plug-in offers you more than enough options to keep you satisfied; emoticons, draw table and most of the similar options you are given with Microsoft Office Word’s “Draw Table”, print options etc.

- Captcha: This plug-in requires that people who post comments enter a verification code before entering the comment. This is yet another way to prevent spammers from spamming in your blog and separates man from machine!
- Visitor Analytics: Who’s viewing your profile? You can now know whether or not you have stalkers, people who visit your blog, people who don’t and get proper stats with IP addresses, all your pages visited and even the browser they used.
