5 Free Excellent Apps for iPhone

  • Sharebar

There are now thousands of apps available for all versions of iPhone, but as technology progresses, most apps being developed today are compatible with iPhone 3G+ while the other older versions of iPhone are left behind.  There are also apps strictly available for jailbroken phones because they are made available through Cydia only.  These apps though, are not necessarily free.

Below are a list of 5 excellent apps I can recommend, compatible with all versions of iPhone. Best of all, they are FREE:

  1. Nimbuzz [DOWNLOAD]:

Nimbuzz wins first spot on my list. Not only is Nimbuzz free, but it is also a multi-platform IM client that allows you to sign in with your  Yahoo, Live Messenger, AIM, ICQ, GoogleTalk, ICQ, Myspace and Hyves accounts. Sadly, Nimbuzz for now does not cater for multiple account sign-ins. Nimbuzz even has a test bot; Jimmy who chats back to you!
  2. Facebook [DOWNLOAD]:

Essentially Facebook in your phone. This app allows you to update status, follow updates, comment, like, view photos, take photos and post them and of course; chat!
  3. TweetDeck [DOWNLOAD]:In my opinion, TweetDeck winds as the best free Twitter and Facebook app. Not only can you update and keep the updates coming for your Twitter but your Facebook account as well.
  4. DropBox [DOWNLOAD]:

For fans of “Dropbox”, you might be aware that this application allows you to share files between your friends and/ or your other PCs. Likewise with the iPhone app version, you can sync your iPhone and PCs, transfer files and they’re readable too!
  5. TouchMouse [DOWNLOAD]:

Logitech’s Touchmouse is a free app that enables your iPhone to act as an optical mouse or remote! You can now move the cursor around with your iPhone! Especially useful when your laptop’s not that close by.
