You know how sometimes you feel like ranting but you don’t have a blog so you have no choice but to rant on a public status message like MSN, Twitter or Facebook but particularly Facebook because almost everyone you know is on it?
This is actually one of my biggest pet peeves online: when someone on Facebook posts something quite disturbing to “everyone” but it’s actually directed at only one person on their friends list but it also sounds like it could be for a group of people, whoever feels like it was written to attack them. For example, “once a cheater, always a cheater!” or “no…don’t hate the game, hate the player”.
I am only connected to a few hundred people but some of my friends have thousands of people in their friends list, they add just about anybody. What they don’t realize is that although their aim is to attack one person indirectly, they are offending a good percentage of people reading their status message!
So it really is a bad idea in a way, to say such horrible things on Facebook and turn it into something like a rant blog. See, the thing with a blog is that people who don’t want to hear what you have to say can simply not visit your site. On the other hand, that’s one problem with Facebook, everyone’s latest news ends up on your news feeds and you have no choice but to deal with people and their issues. Get a blog people!
