This coming week I will be developing a Joomla theme for the project that I’m currently working on. To speed things up, I normally use a theme framework. Theme frameworks are perfect for theme developers because they are made by a generous group of people who have ensured that it meets the standards of its CMS version(s).
There are quite a good number out there but one that really deserves a mention on this blog is the T3 Framework from JoomlArt. These frameworks are free and open source (you can modify them however you like). They are also flexible and extensible. You really don’t have much to do except for the actual graphics and setup because all the serious coding have already been done for you.
Don’t forget to download the correct one, because there are currently 3 skeleton frameworks (JA T3 Blank), two for Joomla 1.5 (one 2009 and the other 2010 version) and the third for Joomla 1.6.
