Driving Instructor Heart-Related Surgery?!

  • Sharebar

There’s something I forgot to mention about my driving lessons…basically, my instructor will be leaving the country to have a heart-related surgery in Mauritius if I’m not mistaken.  I have absolutely no idea how serious this is but what I do know is that he will not be in the country for 10 days from the 23rd of June.  So he will be back in Seychelles on early August.
I really hope everything turns out fine, but on a more professional note I feel horrible that this will affect my driving schedule.  Tomorrow will be lesson #10 and I already prepaid the fees for that lesson.  I have decided to pause with lessons until he returns, and not pay for more.  I don’t know if a 2-week break off driving lessons will affect my progress, but I sure hope not.

Tomorrow I will explain that to my instructor, that I will not pay for more lessons until he returns and is ready to get back on the road with me.  That said, part of me is tempted to continue lessons with another instructor.  But I really don’t want to burn bridges at this point (even if he doesn’t really do much beyond what I pay him for).
