Fresh Cuts, Roche Caiman
I met my instructor at Fresh Cuts by lunch time. I thought we were on our way to the stadium to practice with cones. To my surprise he apologized and then told me to drive into town and then do the North East Point route again. I was alright with it because I remember the previous time I drove on that road I found it quite tough. Today, I can honestly say it’s not that tough anymore.
I think I’m doing better and better on narrow roads. Indeed, “practice makes perfect”. But that said, the cones is tough and there’s no better way to learn something then at the cones because it really tests potential tough situations like reversing to where you want to go and then to turn inside gates or whatnot.
10 lessons have taught me quite a bit though. Although, I did expect to start driving in places like Beau Vallon or St. Louis where I can practice shifting gears.
Traffic in town was not as bad as the other day, but I was still able to practice doing some clutch-control and got a few ‘very goods’ from the guy. Although sometimes when I’m about to re-enter a main road from another traffic-congested lane, I sometimes hit accelerator too strongly so the instructor assumes I’m about to speed into the main road but that doesn’t happen, and I still get scolded anyway.
