At first launch, you would think Google Plus is another Facebook clone, just because the Profile picture is placed at the top left, same exact location where a Facebook profile picture is. Even a Google Plus profile looks almost exactly the same as a Facebook profile. Well, let’s look at some interesting facts and compare similarities to find out what Google Plus is really like.
Google Plus and Facebook Similarities
1. Both profile pages almost look the same.
2. Both allow users to create multiple albums and upload photos and videos.
3. Both let users post status updates, like, +1, share or comment on someone else’s update and/or activities.
4. Both have chat.
Google Plus and Twitter Similarities
1. Both let users post status updates, retweet or share friends updates.
2. Neither one has walls on profiles.
3. Both use @mention when publicly sharing updates with someone.
4. By default, both let users follow other users’ update without sending request. Unlike Facebook.
But, that’s not everything Google plus offers. It has more features like “Hangout” and “Sparks” that aren’t present on either Facebook or Twitter. So, what do you really think about Google Plus? Is it like Facebook or Twitter? With the comparison above, the answer lies in the hands of the users.
