I’m at a very high level of ‘busy’ at the moment, and the worst thing is that I’m trying to fit in things in my schedule that I really don’t have time for. These are the days I realize how messed up it is to take the bus every single time that I have to go into town, because it takes me an average of 30 minutes to get there and about 40 minutes to return. This does not include the time it takes for me to walk to the bus stop or bus station. So I’d say it uses up about 2 hours and that really is a lot of valuable time.
Earlier I was talking to my sister about my getting a second hand car. I’ve decided that it might not be so wise for me to buy a brand new one which I would have to take a loan for. Paying off a loan would be easy to manage if I had a day job, but in my line of work at the moment, I don’t know how much I’ll be earning every month because it’s not fixed. I don’t like the idea of having a second hand car, but if that’s what it takes to kill wasted time then so be it.
Some small used cars can cost about 50’000-80’000 rupees or so and a cheap car might not be a bad idea for a first car. Speaking of cars, I’ve actually cancelled my driving lessons until after the IOIG, so my lessons will resume next Monday. Hopefully by then I’ll be able to start with the cones.
I made a bit of an effort to watch the IOIG swimming finals again today. Seychelles have won 2 gold medals (Shrone Austin and Bertrand Bristol, and one silver (Shannon Austin). So congratulations to them. I’ll post upload some pictures and videos tomorrow. I’m going to take a quick nap and then I’ll be up again to continue working on a few things.
