ASUS K40IJ Specifications and Short Review

  • Sharebar

I got my ASUS laptop around a year ago. It’s an ASUS K40IJ. ASUS K40 series was designed mainly for “Versatile Performance”. The K40IJ, smart choice, comes with a 4+ hour battery life with Intel® Core™2 Duo T6600: 2.2 GHz and 4 GB of RAM. It’s pretty decent for its price. Its high-quality build is one of the main reasons we bought this thing. The warranty was also a good deal. It came with 24 months of global hardware warranty.
The touchpad is sensitive enough, but the buttons (left and right click) are hard to push. I encountered problems with the function keys. Sometimes the wireless switch (FN+F2) just quits working.

The 14″ display works well with normal videos. It’s not the best screen. There’s no dedicated Gfx. Graphic display is mediocre. Not good for visual effects.

For the entire year I’ve been using this, it never overheated. I don’t use a cooler. The palm rest area is also comfortable and cool.

This is not something that works on the go because it is big and heavy (2.36 kg). Its actual performance and specs equal that of an old desktop. It’s no longer being sold and is ready for retirement, anyway. Better get a Macbook Air.
