As I blog and cook dinner at the same time, I want to confirm that the Indian Ocean Island Games’ closing ceremony is being held right now, it started at 6pm and will end very soon. This means that the Games is almost officially over and most if not all the sportsmen and sportswomen will be leaving the country tomorrow. It’s been a great event and we look forward to the next one in 4 years time. If the pattern follows then Reunion will host the IOIG 2015.
I’m not really into sports much, but I do try to get into a fad when it occurs. So I did try to update my readers on the matches that I’ve followed or scores that I’ve heard. I did point everyone to the official website of the games when I found out that many had a hard time finding it on the SERPs.
That said, my site visitors have increased threefold within the span of the games. This has caused a certain imbalance in my stats analysis because I have not been externally optimizing my site. It just so happened to have brought in more visitors than expected. This is the power of internal SEO through keyword optimization…that, and the benefits of an SEO-friendly website.
For results and other things, visit the official website of the games, or the Wikipedia page.
