Get More Visitors To Your Blog!

  • Sharebar

Blogging can be really fun.  The idea of it is for you to write down absolutely anything you want to, from daily ramblings and rants to niche topics or general information and more, then share it to the whole world.  Maybe out there, someone who knows exactly what you’re going through will read it and find some kind of comfort in knowing that they are not alone.  Or if it’s an information blog, readers can go through it and find some kind of use for it.  Blogs fit all kinds of purpose.  Some bloggers however, find it really difficult to capture an audience, or to get visitors to their blog.  Here are some tips that might prove useful to you if you are looking to increase your traffic.
1.] Think Trends.  You should be writing about things that people are searching for or are interested in right now.  If you have a cheese blog, and latest news has it that there is a way to make rainbow coloured cheese then that’s what you should write about because that’s what people will be searching for in the search engines.

2.] Keyword Emphasis.  You can write a thousand blog posts about your daily life or feelings and not have as many visitors as someone who has posted one single blog article about Apple’s iPad 2.  Not because your life is boring ad the iPad 2 isn’t (okay maybe that’s what it is) but it’s also a keyword thing plus trends.  See, if you wrote about your daily life or feelings and included a lot of popular keywords, the link to your blog page will end up on the SERPs.  That’s just how it is.

3.] Straight-To-The-Point Titles.  It’s sort of like articles in the newspapers – if you have a great title, then people will click on it out of curiosity.  If your title is vague or appears uninteresting, then it will have a lower click potential.

4.] Quantity.  Just keep writing.  You need to update your blog often.  If you don’t, Google will not like you and you will not have as many visitors as you would want.  Plus, if you’re lucky enough to have someone bookmark your site because they enjoyed one of your blog posts, if the revisit your site and do not see an update, they will feel like you have abandoned your blog and take it off their bookmark.  Do not ever leave a blog dormant.  It is not a volcano.

5.] Quality.  If you are serious about your blog, then remember to publish as many blog articles as possible, and keep the standards to a certain level.  Make sure you have something in there for everyone.  Some people will want to learn more about you, others will only want to find something that will be useful to them.

6.] Promote It.  Post the link to your blog anywhere and everywhere.  You’ve got Facebook, share the link with friends and paste it on your profile.  Keep it on your email’s signature.  Paste it on your MSN’s status or personal message section.  Tell your friends about it, tell your neighbours about it, have a personal business card with your blog’s URL, etc.
