If you are on Joomla 1.6 or recently upgraded to version 1.7 and you’ve added a Phocagallery component to your CMS many of you might be experiencing the odd ‘blank page’ when you’re trying to add an image to the gallery.
Your link on the address bar will look like this:
index.php?option=com_phocagallery&view=phocagalleryimg&layout=edit
But no matter how many times you try to redo this, you get the same result each time.
Some users have advised us to roll back to version 3.00, but I have some good news: Phocagallery 3.02 has been released and this bug has been fixed in the new update.
If you are on 3.01 and would like to update your installation, download the latest update here:
http://www.phoca.cz/download/category/1-phoca-gallery-component
Then go to the extension installer page:
‘Extensions’ -> ‘Extension Manager’
…and ‘Upload Package File’. After this new component upgrade has been uploaded, you will be given 2 options: to either install or upgrade. Choose upgrade, and you’re done. You should not encounter this error anymore and you will be able to add images with no problem.
