At around 8am this morning, my instructor called to tell me that he has shifted my driving lesson from 9:15am to 8:45am. So I quickly got dressed and right on time he was honking the car right outside my place. So I rushed out and the student who was in the driver’s seat stepped out and moved into the rear passenger seat. So this was the first time I drove down from La Louise. In fact, this was the first time I drove in La Louise.
He told me to shift to the second gear and simply manipulate brakes all the way down. Then I turned at the roundabout towards the Mont Fleuri road, and dropped the student in town. I drove through the Roche Caiman highway until we reached the cones area.
It was raining so I wasn’t able to practice the cone without him in the car for too long. We practiced each exercise that we’ve covered, and a new one. He told me that we’ll be going over the final exercise tomorrow. Something to do with parallel parking.
I casually asked him when I’d be able to do my off-road test and he said he’ll schedule it for next week! I didn’t know it would be that soon! I told him “well…that’s quite soon” and he replied, “you can’t spend too long on this…”.
After the off road test, we’ll be preparing for the on road test. The student-lady who brought me back home after my lesson drove up to La Louise. She did the reverse thing at the Chilli Bar entrance, which I remember Mr. R told me would be in the on road test.
So I guess that’s when I’ll be tackling the tougher roads; after the off road test.
