Ugh…I don’t even know where or how to begin with this one. About a 2 months ago, my sister called up the SSPCA and asked them to schedule an appointment for Thylvethter so that she could get spayed. She was pregnant at the time, but wasn’t showing at all. We figured if we could get her spayed early she wouldn’t have to endure labour. So the SSPCA told us that we could bring her in on August 25 (tomorrow). After all the months of waiting, and having to go through the whole losing her kittens scenario, I called SSPCA early this afternoon to confirm the appointment and they told me that they had given Thyl’s slot to someone else!
According to the guy who answered the phone, it’s because they tried calling my sister’s work number and she was unreachable so they considered it a no-show. Is that fair at all? Surely they should have a waiting list. If I hadn’t called before the end of the day that’s when they should start contacting the people in the waiting list.
What’s up with waiting for 2 whole months and then having your name replaced with someone else’s? Did they simply replace it with someone who called today itself? If they make me wait for another 2 months, Thyl’s going to end up pregnant again.
I’ll try to contact the vet and see if they do these sort of things. If they do, I hope this whole spaying ordeal can be done with before the end of this week.
