Thyl Finally Has A Confirmed Appointment: No Transport

If you read all the cat spaying-related stories on Yahoo Answers you will see how closed-minded some people are about others’ situations.  According to them, there’s absolutely no valid reason for not getting a pet neutered.  I remember one person said they couldn’t get transportation to the vet, and another person said there’s always someone out there who’d be willing to do it.

Today I’ve asked as many of my ‘good’ friends to help me out with this; I told them that my cat needs to be spayed tomorrow morning and I really need transport (I even offered to cover transportation costs).  So far, I’ve had 100% “I’ll have to check” responses.  It’s also probably because the vet wants me to bring her at 8:15-8:45am.  Who in the world is free during these times? That’s the time people who are late are trying to get to work, and people who work at 9am are on their way to work.  So I’d actually have to get a good friend to leave work for me.  This will cost me more than just petrol money.  How I hate asking for favours.

See, this is why I need my own car.  I really hate being a burden to people.  Worst, I really hate placing myself at the mercy of their generosity.

The vet told me to starve the cat from 7pm onwards.  So I fed Thylvethter at around 5pm.  I’m pretty sure she’ll be hungry before morning but I’ll make sure not to leave any food out.

Hope Thyl’s better now. After all the hassle she’s given us, all that money spent, she’d better live another couple of years!

She hasn’t given us any hassles. We’ve given ourselves the hassle by not having a freakn car. I went to town yesterday to get her a basket and they didn’t have any. So I had to put her in a box (that would explain how she ended up scratching me when she was scratching the crap out of that box). So it’s our fault we didn’t get her a basket earlier. Yup, she’s better now, but I think she’s picking on the sutures.
