Western Union In Seychelles

  • Sharebar

The other day I ordered some business cards in Singapore and told my mum who is still there to pick it up for me.  I told her I’d send her the money through Western Union so she’d be able to settle it the following day.  She was surprised that it was possible to send money through Western Union In Seychelles! This has actually been possible for a good number of years now.  There is a Western Union branch located inside the main Nouvobanq branch in Victoria.

To send money, you only need a proof of identification (e.g. passport) an address, phone number, the recipient’s name as written in their ID card or passport, their address and phone number (optional).

To receive money, you only need proof of identification, the MTCN number sent by the sender, how much money they’ve sent (down to the cent) and the sender’s full name (exactly as they wrote it).

The best thing about Western Union is that it’s almost immediate.  You send the money, and they either receive it immediately or they receive it within 24 hours.  So it’s great for urgent transactions that need to be done overseas or whatever.  The worst thing about WU is their fees…if you think Paypal’s got high fees then you’ve never tried WU.

This is their address:

Western Union
Nouvobanq
SIMBC Ltd., Victoria House
State House Ave P.O. Box 241
Victoria, Mahe
Seychelles
