Stressed Out!

  • Sharebar

Something that stresses me out like crazy is when one of my sites isn’t working as it should.  I have a friend who told me that he never gets stressed out, not even when there’s a very big problem in his life.  In fact, he probably doesn’t believe in problems.  But not me…I get stressed out quite easily, especially when something is not working as it should.  Hence, the stress I’ve been carrying this week.

Basically, early this week I found out that one of my sites’ software has been malfunctioning.  I only noticed this because when I was analyzing my visitor stats for August, I noticed a constant decline for this particular site.  I was trying to figure out the cause of it.  This is a service site, and everything is pretty much automated so there’s no reason for me to visit it every day or every week.

Something just told me to test the software.  And what do you know, it wasn’t working properly.  Worst, I found out that my software support subscription was expired so I had to pay $20 – okay, it isn’t much but it’s still out of my online account – to renew that support subscription.  The support staff took 3-4 days to reply…and they haven’t even figured out what’s wrong with the software, they’re still investigating.  Every day that the software isn’t working, I am losing more and more site visitors and thus site credibility.

So yes, I have been rather stressed out.
