It’s been about 2 weeks now since Thylvethter’s sterilization operation and there really has been some behavioural change. She’s become more aggressive, and her playful attacks are more serious or painful. I actually have marks on my skin now from her bites. I don’t think it’s even normal for a cat to bite a human being to the point where it leaves a mark.
It never really used to be like that. I don’t know if it’s because she’s fast-approaching her first birthday, and she’s grown up so her bites are more painful especially because she’s not really a kitten anymore. But somehow it’s almost too coincidental that these acts of aggression started right after she got off the anaesthetic from the operation two weeks ago.
For example, she tends to keep grudges. One night I was sleeping in my room and she was meowing out the door practically begging to be let in. I was really tired so I decided to ignore her and I drifted off to sleep.
Next thing I know I hear something at the window and it as Thylvethter. She was basically meowing at my door and when she realized I wasn’t going to let her in, she went outside and entered my room through my window. That’s not the horrible part. She enters my room, jumps on my bed and the bites me! Not in a playful manner, but in a very serious “I hate you!” way.
How scary is that? What kind of cat keeps grudges? It’s almost like she was pissed off that I didn’t let her in so she entered my room with that in mind, and decided to bite me as a symbol of revenge.
Aggression.
