This is not the best music video around (The Blower’s Daughter – Damien Rice), but the reason I’m sharing this today is because the song just popped into my head and it reminded me of one of my favourite movies of all time, ‘Closer (2004)‘. This is the soundtrack for that movie. I don’t know how many times I must have watched this movie, it could have been around 4-5 times. It’s absolutely awesome.
The reason I like this movie so much is that it’s one of those types that is always one step ahead of your expectation. It’s also so realistic, especially with relationships…they really are that complicated and it’s a scary thing but there’s a lot of truth to it.
The film is about 4 people: two couples and they’re all involved somehow. A handful of twists that you never see coming. 2 American women, 2 British men…it’s almost too perfect. Stars Julia Roberts, Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Clive Owen.
