My neighbour invited Ant and I to accompany them for a tour around South Mahe today so we set off at around 11:30am. We headed to Chez Batista restaurant at Takamaka for some Creole cuisine. It was amazing. It was a buffet, and they had all kinds of Creole dishes. They had a good range of chutneys: Salt fish chutney, shark chutney, papaya chutney and golden apple chutney. If I ever get my hands on a car any time soon I will drive my family down there for lunch. The setting was also great: near the beach and the floor was sandy just like Beau Vallon’s Baobab Pizzeria.
We then went around Intendance and Port Glaud, stopped at ‘Mission’ in the mountains to take pictures and then we went home. I arrived home at around 5pm or so.
