Developed by Data-wind Indian made Tablet Aakash LCAD is one of the recently launched tablet pc which is making its’ hype in India these days. Its’ name “Aakash” means “Sky”. It is mainly developed for students and which is affordable for everyone. The basic Aakash tablet for students will somewhere around about Rs. 1500 which is around about US$ 35.  But to get on this price range you have to contact with a university, as commercially it will be little costlier, but still it will be in an affordable price range. Let’s see what the Aakash Tablet specifications are.

Aakash Tablet specifications are as under:

1.    It offers size of 190.5×118.5×15.7 mm and 7 inch resistive screen display.
2.    Weighs about 350 gm.
3.    Comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo) – One of the biggest advantages as its’ android, though not latest Honey Comb but still worth it as per the price it offers.
4.    366 MHz processor with 256 MB RAM, plus Graphics Accelerator and HD Video quality.
5.    Storage capacity comes with 2GB micro SD card which can be extended up to 32 GB.
6.    2 USB ports for connectivity, external USB for Camera and Wi-Fi Enabled.
7.    Data-Wind provides its’ own web browser and modem is in-built cellular and SIM (Subscriber Identity Module).
