I’ve been able to retrieve almost every single blog post since I started blogging ‘properly’ in 2005. I have decided to go ahead and publish most of them here on this blog, on the same database. Categories such as: domaining, web design, web development, gadgets, technology, etc.
It’s quite interesting because when I was saving all the posts manually, I remember being there for a lot the new features or new websites. If only I could have started blogging even before that – or at least kept any of my extremely-amateur blogs.
I’m glad that I took down my previous blog though, there were lots of posts that were just not nice and didn’t do any justice in depicting the actual person that I am.
I’ve tried retrieving my sister’s blog posts as well but her blog was set to private so I guess the crawlers were not able to access the information. Wayback machine doesn’t store database information from the sites, they sort of just take an interactive screenshot (sort of).
Over the week I will be manually importing the blog posts to this blog.
