I Placed An Order For A Chinese Mobile Phone Miniature Car

  • Sharebar

After browsing their numerous styles for mobile phone miniature cars (well, I still think it’s “car mobile phones” but whatever) I was too fascinated by them that I decided to get myself an “unbranded” red one! :) It supposedly supports GSM so I don’t see why it won’t work with our network here in Seychelles.

It’s a dual SIM car phone, supports audio and video (the common formats e.g. MP3, MP4), can take pictures and record video, can be used as a flash drive, WAP, “GPRS Downloads”, etc.  I’ve also ordered a 2GB memory card with it, so we’ll see how that goes.

Curiosity and public reaction aside, I am also buying it because I expect it has a high resale value in a country such as Seychelles.  When you live in this country, you will understand the importance of buying something that has a high resale value.  I mean, let’s face it…it looks like a hot toy sports car, it’s a phone and I specifically checked to see if it has ‘English’ as a language option.

The only obvious downside is that it is not a touchscreen phone like the one I posted earlier, but let’s check out this one’s performance and then I’ll consider spending more on something with actual moving wheels and touchscreen.  Although it’s safe to assume that wheels will impede comfortable texting and voice calls: “erm, excuse me, you’ve got tire tracks on your face”.

Well, they’re manufactured in China. I’ve ordered one from there. Although there could be resellers in other parts of the world. If there is though, probably something small-scale. They could easily export mobile phones with such designs but the problem arises when they use car brands that be long to actual car companies such as Ferrari, Porsche, etc.
