It’s past 1:30am and I am still awake. I’m in bed though, thought I’d post something before going to sleep. I probably ruined everyone’s day yesterday because I woke up with a terrible headache (which started the night before).
Div treated us to lunch which consisted of three 9′ pizzas and 1 hot drink and 2 matcha milkshakes. Everything costed over 200 rmb, which I would consider costly. But the food and drinks were great. We asked them if they’d do a tuna pizza even if it wasn’t on the menu and they did. Now if that’s not customer service then what is.
There are so many things to explore here in Beijing. But we just picked the worst time to explore the place because I am freezing my butt off wherever we go.
We want to set out a little early today. I will try to not complain as much…I have so far insisted on taking a taxi no matter where we go because of the train. Which is very unlike me because I am a believer in saving as much money as possible. I’ve always enjoued taking buses and the subways. I just have not enjoyed walking in the blistering cold.
It’s my fault really, I need to wear at least 4 layers to be comfortable enough.
We have discussed the possibility of going to Shanghai next week. It will be a good experience for Dominique. He might not have the chance again, you never know. Shanghai means so much to me in many ways, and it is also such a beautiful city. I want to share my experiences there with people I care about.
