It’s the start of April and I thought I’d give an update on my April goals blog challenge. In case you do not know what my goals are for the end of April, here they are again:
Goals
- Reach 2000 Twitter followers
- Guest post on 10 blogs
- Bring down my Alexa to at least 150’000
- Build an extra 100 backlinks
- Gain 25 genuine opt-ins
- Publish 100 posts
- Complete My 2 eBooks
- Join 5 relevant forums and post 15 posts on each
- Send out 1 newsletter
- Get 10 genuine open source software reviews
Update:
1 – I started out with about 200 Twitter followers. I’ve tried to network a bit on Twitter so now I have 781 followers. 1219 more to go.
2 – I haven’t started guest posting.
3 – Alexa ranking was at #309’623 and I’ve brought it down to #254’706.
4 – For this exercise I’ve selected Alexa’s linking in information. They don’t seem to update it often enough but I’ll just work with it for now. I started with 199 links and it now has 212 sites linking in. 87 backlinks more needed.
5 – I still need a little more than half the number of opt-ins required. Not easy.
6 – Posts still in progress.
7 – eBooks still in progress.
8 – I’ve joined 6 forums to be on the safe side. I’ve completed about half the number of posts required.
9 – Newsletter will be sent out at the end of the month.
10 – I think I’ve already obtained 10 more genuine open source software reviews.
