WordPress is a great blog software, and it is also great for more elaborate developments such as content management systems. However, I feel that there are some limitations, esp. if there are too many plugins installed. In such a case, it really affects the loading time of a site, and this can have a negative impact on browsing experience for the site visitors.

I suggest not to use too many plugins on WordPress blog. It will surely slow down your blog. It is better to know which are useful to your needs and to use them only.

You’re very correct on that point Netophilic. I’ve had no choice but to reduce the number of plugins I’m using because it has really slowed down the loading time.
