I thought about my new logo earlier today and I thought I might as well revamp the look of the site! So I’ve designed the mockup of it with the updated colours. I’ll start on the theme later tonight so I should have it up in a few hours or so. As always, I’ll be using the wonderful Thematic as my theme framework. Here’s a sample mockup:

I’ll be making a few changes too (after checking member privileges):
- I’ll be completely uninstalling the current business directory plugin for WordPress. This is the best plugin I’ve seen so far, but unfortunately I noticed today that contributors (as opposed to admin) have the privilege of upgrading or downgrading the listings. Not sure if this is something that the creators have missed out or if it’s something that’s meant to be but either way, I suppose it’s better to separate the directory database from the blog’s one. I’m still unsure which directory software I’ll use or if this specific service will be a free one. The directory part of the site might or might not be coded in HTML/CSS specifically to avoid spam. I’ll update you in due time.
- Article submissions from press release submitters and guest bloggers can be posted FOR FREE, directly from a registered user’s control panel. After submission, the article will enter a moderation queue. Articles that are unique and meet the standards of this blog will be approved. Allowing members to sign up and have a few privileges require some testing. Members will not have the privilege of deleting their articles.
- Layout width will be changed to 900 pixels. This is so that I can add a social bookmarking slider on the side of the layout.
That’s all I can say for now. Better get cracking on it!
