I thought I’d just send out a few random thoughts here. My blog is turning into something that is not as personal as it should be. It’s been an ‘okay’ month so far. Time flies!
I had to go to town earlier today to post some registered mail…some of them are repeat-sends because 2 of my swap pals didn’t receive the mail I sent them a few months ago. I also received 2 mails last week postdated 2-3 months ago! What is happening to the posting system in this country?
My younger brother and I have been watching movies every night this week. It’s pretty cool…watching movies on my own is no fun. This week we already covered: Griff the Invisible (2010), Chronicle (2012), Letters to Juliet (2010) and this evening we watched Fright Night (2011). They’re all quite interesting but I would definitely recommend Fright Night if you’re into suspense, it just keeps going so you won’t fall asleep or anything…definitely my kind of movie!
I also really enjoyed Letters to Juliet, and I wonder if the ‘secretaries of Juliet’ actually exist. Very interesting! Lost of movies showcases Italy in a positive light. The book ‘Eat, Pray, Love‘ by Elizabeth Gilbert also entices the readers to want to visit Italy. It seems like a romantic place or a place I would like to explore alone. Although after the terrifying Meredith Kercher murder and Amanda Knox trial, I think it’s just too complicated of a place at the moment.
Yesterday (May 7th) was my mum’s birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! She’s not in the country right now so I decided to send her a message on her Facebook wall (she didn’t pick up the phone when I tried to call!):
VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my supermum Gemma Ah-Time Sabino who is always 21…at heart. LOL! Hope you’re having lots of fun over there!
She sent me an email reply:
hi
thanks for the birthday wish really like the words laughing
rally young at heart hehe;
nothing just going to church pray for my health and to see my children
happy; strong;
regards
…which reminded me of an email I received this week from a friend who didn’t know how to subscribe to my newsletter. I’m not 100% sure if my mum knows how to reply to her Facebook wall comments. This friend of mine told me that he would like to receive updates via email if possible. Although at the moment I would rather keep it at 1 newsletter a month so I don’t spam the inbox of my subscribers. Anyway, going back to that – imagine the number of people who don’t read blogs or surf the web. All they do is read their emails and that’s pretty much it. Reminds me of the time I signed up for my first-ever email address at Yahoo.com; they offered a long list of newsletters you could subscribe to. Back then that was all the rave. Today, newsletters are just like spam unless you specifically opt-in.
I just noticed my Alexa rank has reached #149’772 – I think it’s a record for this blog. But what I really want to mention is my 2 eBooks which I will be completing this evening. I’m working on the cover and one of them is done. I had to buy a 3D eBook cover creator so I could save time. Works great.
To be on the safe side I am not going to publish the one I had written about SEO at the moment…very sensitive topic so I need to re-focus on that. Anyway, I was reading an article online about eBooks – and the author of the article advised bloggers to use already-written content. Which is a great idea because it will prevent plagiarism or at least limit it. I can imagine sending out an eBook online and if it’s not already published somewhere then someone could just type it out on their blog and claim authorship. That would suck. So that’s what I’ve done – I’ve compiled blog articles that I already wrote, and I’ve merged them into 2 topics. So the two eBooks I’m creating and will send out in a few hours is just that.
The one I’ve completed already is quite short, just a few thousand words. But it is informative enough and I hope it helps at least one person out there who gets their hands on it. I will send out more information on a following blog post.
Okay, I’m done rambling. Thanks for visiting my blog and do come again!

I’ll be waiting to read an ebook written by you…
I’ve uploaded one on Scribd (username: sabrinasabino.com) although for now it’s just a compilation of blog posts so if you’ve been reading my blog articles then there’s nothing you haven’t read already. Thanks for your encouragement. Cheers.
I read the ebook, I really like the cover page… and now I think I’ve to upload my many many childhood pics
LOL
Thanks Sabrina for delighting the readers with an awesome post yet, again. You describe the entire situation is such an interesting way that I wish that the post would not have ended up at all. I would love to read more from you about the rambling thing. I really enjoyed it.
