Fiber Optic Ship At Beau Vallon?

There was a very large ship (or at least that’s what I think it was) at Beau Vallon beach last night and a friend of mine told me that this was the ship that brought the Fiber Optic cable all the way from mainland Africa (I think it’s Tanzania).  So I decided to take a picture of it.  It’s really difficult to get a picture in the dark, and there was very little light in the area so this was the best my phone camera could do.

I’ve decided to not be present at Beau Vallon beach tomorrow when they bring in the Fiber optics on land because there’s just a large crowd on the beach every Sunday and I can expect there to be even more tomorrow because of this special circumstance.  But I will do whatever I can to get some pictures either tomorrow or on Monday.  They already set the area up with some red tape near the Baobab Pizzeria building (although I don’t know if that red tape was specifically placed there for the optical fiber thing).

I am really curious to know about the further happenings of the fibre optics thing. I am really interested to know more about it, after reading your article. If you have taken more pictures kindly post them.
