I just found out about the murder of “Justin” Jun Lin (林俊), a Chinese international university student who was studying in Montreal’s Concordia University, Canada. He was murdered by a Canadian port star Luka Rocco Magnotta (real name: Eric Clinton Newman) who was barbaric enough to actually video tape the killing and then distribute the video online. From sources online, he stabbed Jun Lin several times with an ice pick and then started dismembered his body. He then had sex with the corpse as well as ate pieces of his flesh (i.e. necrophilia + cannibalism).
There are detailed information about all this on other websites, I don’t really want to cover the details. This hits close to home for me because I know what it’s like to be a foreign student; to not have any family in that country; to find yourself adapting to the new environment; to find yourself trusting a random person with a friendly face.
No sane person is capable of comprehending the mind of a psychotic murderer. Murderers don’t stop to think that the person whose life they are about to end has family and friends that care about them; that would do anything for them. They are selfish and only care about fulfilling their immediate needs. Rest in peace, Jun Lin.

Yeah it looks a bit like a face but I don’t think that’s what it is. Or probably the reflection of the person who was taking the picture.
All of us must condemn such heinous acts at once. The world should be a place where all of us can leave in harmony and peace, and such acts actually push us back several thousand years back.
