I spent several days at a maisonette on Eden Island with my family and it was a rather interesting experience. I’m still on the fence about the buggy rides that need to be taken from the entrance to the residences and back. It might be less of a hassle for residents to actually be able to drive to their place using their own cars. But it’s also a good way to ensure security – only residents (and staff) get to drive in with their buggies. It does feel like a district and it’s got an island feel to it too, but I must admit that it’s not typically Seychelles. It’s like the Truman Show meets Sentosa (Singapore). Everything on the island is so carefully designed, and even the sand doesn’t seem like real sand. Having said that, if I had all the money in the world I would probably buy a villa there so it could be my “home away from home”.
