View Of L’Islette Island From Port Glaud (Images)

This is possibly the weirdest beach stop I’ve ever experienced…a stop to view L’Islette island from Port Glaud.  This is actually a privately-owned island, and within walking distance during low tide.  It’s a beautiful little isle, and if you wake up to that view every morning it certainly is a pretty sight.  I can’t say the same for if you’re actually living on that island and waking up to the view of the Port Glaud / Port Launay area though.  I’ve actually been on that island decades ago when there was still a restaurant on there.  I was very young at the time but I do remember hiking up.  I remember there were steps leading up to something, but the island was definitely underdeveloped in its days.

This is my personal favourite spot under clear blue sky,I love to snorkel around this area but have to be careful with sea urchin and lion fish. Going to this place again this Sunday if the weather is good.

I wanted to cross over to l’Islette island because it was around 11am when I arrived. But then I noticed that I would probably have to swim to the island and I didn’t want to risk getting my phone wet so I turned back. Next time I’ll probably have to head on there a lot earlier when the tide is lower.
