Today was an ‘okay’ day. I arrived about 10 minutes before my lesson, and the instructor arrived 2-3 minutes after my lesson was supposed to begin. As I ran towards the car, I took a deep breath and reminded myself “today is a new day…”. He got out of the car and immediately told me [...]

Today has got to be the worst driving lesson I’ve ever had. I did a repetition of the off-road test exercises. My instructor was so darn angry and frustrated with me, and I felt like I couldn’t do anything right. I don’t know if I wanted to cry or if I wanted to tell him [...]
I was quite stressed out this morning because I was having a hard time trying to find transportation to get Thylvethter back home after spending the night at the vet clinic. The vet had Div’s number so he called her up and told her that the cat is fine and there are no more kittens [...]
I was supposed to start my driving lesson at 12:30pm and I reached Fresh Cuts by 12:25pm. I specifically made that extra effort to be early today because I wanted to show my instructor that I take my lessons seriously. See, this is why I’m not a big fan of punctuality…because someone is always late [...]
It’s only been two days since my last driving lesson and I already miss it! I’m having a hard time thinking how I’ll spend the coming week without it. My twin sister also studied driving with the same instructor, and I asked her how many lessons it took for her to finally get her license. [...]
There’s something I forgot to mention about my driving lessons…basically, my instructor will be leaving the country to have a heart-related surgery in Mauritius if I’m not mistaken. I have absolutely no idea how serious this is but what I do know is that he will not be in the country for 10 days from [...]
Today has been the toughest driving day by far because I had to zig-zag through cones. Not only that, I took over the car somewhere around Union Vale and Castor Road and drove down to town near the bus terminal. It was around 10:15 by then, and I actually got stuck in traffic. Here I [...]
A few months ago taking the bus to work and back started bugging me to a very high extent so that’s what compelled me to start taking driving lessons. At the time, I was contemplating quitting my job but it was either that or staying in that job and taking a car loan on September.
On an earlier post, I mentioned my unwillingness to pay in “package” for my driving lessons. Even if my driving instructor explained the possibility of eventually spending more for my lessons if I don’t pay in package, I just felt a little safer paying per lesson or per 5 lessons. The reason why is simple.
I can actually say that I might be getting the hang of driving in general. Okay, so I haven’t been taught how to reverse yet, but all in all, I do drive with confidence. Earlier today, a student picked me up from my home with Mr. R on the front passenger seat. So I watched [...]
It’s no secret anymore that I have resigned from my day job. My final working day will be on Friday, July 1. Days seem to go by very slowly ever since I handed in my resignation. So many things have happened. My family and friends’ initial reaction to that was “have you applied to other [...]
